This fulldome sequence offers a spectacular immersion into the phenomena behind auroras, from solar activity to their luminous manifestation on Earth. Designed specifically for dome projection, the experience fully leverages the spatial qualities of fulldome to deliver a sense of total immersion and an intuitive understanding of astrophysical processes.

The journey begins at the Sun, whose depiction strikes a carefully balanced approach between scientific accuracy and visual clarity. The solar surface features dynamic textures inspired by simulations, conveying the energy and complexity of the star without relying on excessive visual effects. A solar eruption marks the narrative’s starting point and sets the sequence in motion.

The camera then follows the path of solar particles through space in a deliberately stylized visual treatment. This narrative choice makes an invisible phenomenon perceptible while maintaining strong pedagogical clarity. The fulldome format enhances the perception of speed and scale, carrying the viewer toward Earth.

The interaction between the solar wind and Earth’s magnetic field forms a key moment in the sequence. The planet appears surrounded by its magnetic field lines, illustrating how particles are deflected toward the poles and setting the stage for the emergence of auroras.
